Re: [GWL]: Gwl Several Things

    I don't write about anything if I DON'T have experience with it.  No
matter how good the company is, they are biased and have grown/tested their
product under THEIR conditions.  I've gotten a lot of items that sounded
GREAT in print, but when I tried them, they had gaping flaws.  A gooseneck
pruner that had a swivel head to allow you to prune in awkward and tight
places sounded wonderful, but it turned out to be so heavy that holding it
up over my head to prune trees left my arms aching after about ten cuts.  
    A lightweight pair of loppers for women was made of such cheap steel
that a heavy rose cane bent it, and on the next cut the blade carved metal
off the anvil like it was made of lead.
    Same thing on plants.  Roses I got  sounded wonderful, but one couldn't
stand up and the flowers balled up like mad, and the other, supposed to be
disease resistant, got black spot.
    If you write about something just using the information from the
company, you are doing your readers a disservice, and you aren't much more
than a shill.  You need to know where the pitfalls are before you write
about something.
