I believe this statistic too. I do wonder if agricultural pesticides are included in the total. However, I've sent people to our local garden centers for BT, midsummer, and minimum wage bozos sell them on something completely inappropriate. Maybe it's the customer who's the bozo. Margaret L
I asked and he confirmed. Only 2% of the pesticides sold to consumers in this country is organic. That statistic is true for the industry and for his company on a national basis. In the 50 or so garden centers I have visited in the past year, it is my observation that something less than 10% of the products on the shelf are organic. The organic products are there in the early season, but because they are not big sellers, the garden centers tend not to reorder them, so that by June it is hard to find Bt or Neem or Light hort oil. Sorry to bring the bad news, but I believe the statistic. Jeff
