Not only that, but I am told it is pretty effective. So I decided to try
some. Went to a garden store and found a bottle for about twelve bucks.
Read the label, which told me that it was a one percent solution of iron
phosphate. Now, iron phosphate is not a particularly exotic chemical
compound, sorta akin to rust. And the thought of paying twelve bucks for
a one percent solution stuck in my craw. I don't use the term "rip off"
very often, but $12.00 for a bottle of weak rusty water certainly tempts
me to.

So I still don't know whether it works. If I'm gonna pay twelve bucks for
a pesticide, I want the active ingredient to have at least ten syllables.
