Re: Editing issues

I write mostly for newspapers.  I have never had an editor send an
article back to me for a final look.  The only way I can keep the
editing to a minimum is make it so they don't have to edit at all!  In
newspaper it is about space, so I send them an article I think will
fit their space (based on how long they said they wanted it.  Then I
offer to edit it down if it is too long.  Sometimes that
works...usually there isn't time.
