Re: Editing issues

In emails to this list, I've noticed a, um, wide range of levels of concern 
over spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. I hope we're all more professional 
about what gets printed under our bylines than some of us are about what appears 
here under our screen names. 
I think a lot of people see this forum as a place to converse with peers, not 
as a writing assignment wherein we leave no nit unpicked. And I think we all 
prefer to converse without being corrected constantly. 
Still, as my Amish neighbors would say, "It wonders me" to read some of the 
embarrassingly bad writing that appears here.
