What mystifies me in all the promotion and controversy regarding daffodil genes to create Golden Rice is why we don't hear and say...yes, that's us....more about helping those in lesser developed and our own country obtain more of their Vitamin A and other nutrients from vegetables. Golden rice, good, bad or worthless addresses only one nutrient deficiency whereas improved access to fruits and vegetables would resolve a host of nutritional issues.
