Re: any thoughts on this?

Actually, anyone can buy the GWA list for this kind of purpose,
although I thought GWA didn't give out the e-mails. Maybe they pulled
those off the Web site. I think the products/services need to be
related to what we do, however, to buy the mailing list. I've bought
it for clients before.

I was really disappointed a few years ago with a soils presentation
prepared by Fafard. The program was all Fafard and very little about
soils...more about mining the products for the Fafard mix.I sent a
message to the people who prepared it, saying it was one long
commercial. I kept the soil samples; however, with the intention of
building my own program.

I think it kind of depends on what your particular goal is as a
garden communicator. Some newspapers would probably have a fit if a
staff writer and possibly a freelance writer became the spokesperson
for anything. That old journalism avoid the appearance of
preferences, impropriety, thing.

Before accepting, you might want to make sure it's such an
arrangement would be all right w/any publications or other media you
work with. Melinda Myers has marketed herself and is the spokesperson
for Milorganite.
