Re: powerpoint interface

Hi Ellen

I too always bring a disc and USB drive just in case.

Did you try powering down the projector as well as the 'puter, then
starting the both again?

Does your laptop allow you to do mirroring (as I recall, the older
Mac laptops had a mirroring function for when you connect to a
projector)? If so, did you try that adjustment?

I find sometimes find that my laptop takes forever to open ppt
files that have lots of images. To avoid that problem, I startup my
laptop and open the ppt slideshow way ahead of time, then simply
close the lid so the Mac goes to sleep.

When I reach the venue, I simply open the lid and wait a few seconds
until the image appears. And I know that the file is already open so
I don't have a heart attack waiting to see if it will work.

Recently, I had a problem with a presentation using Presenter Tools.
As I hit the forward arrow, the the slides changed, but not the
notes. I ALWAYS print out my notes separately just in case but of
course this time, I ran out of time to do so. I ended up winging the
talk part of the presentation which was uncomfortable, but no one
seemed to notice at all....

I am doing another ppt presentation on Saturday and I sure hope that
doesn't happen again!!!!
