Here's a general question for all you Mac users out there, or anyone else who might have some advice:
Most of the time when I plug my Mac into someone's digital projector I have no problems. I bring my adaptor and everything goes smoothly. Yesterday, however, I had a specific problem occur for the second time and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this and if you know how to fix it.
I plugged the laptop into the projector and they were communicating to a degree, in that my screen saver image was projected. However, none of my icons or toolbars showed up. When I opened the PPT presentation, nothing. I tried adjusting the resolution on my computer, replugging, rebooting, everything I and the tech person could think of. In the end we used the on site PC. I'd brought my presentation on disc and on a USB drive just in case.
So, have any of you seen this partial projection thing? If so, is there something I can do to get the projector and computer communicating fully?
I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer.
Thanks,
Ellen
