Update on Videos and Coaching

Hi, everyone. I enjoyed your GardenRant comments about the GWA symposium and hope to meet you all next year in Portland - you're very convincing! Now for the updates.

MONKEYSEE VIDEOS
The site www.Monkeysee.com has launched, with scant gardening content so far but lots more in the works. Here on my page are the clips that comprise my video on Sustainable Gardening. Also Ed Bruske has a series on composting, Mitch Baker on planting a tree and planting up a container, and Amy Stuart (not Stewart) on herbs.

But look what's in the pipeline:
a.. Paul Tukey on organic lawn care
b.. Casey Trees in DC on basic tree care
c.. Ellen Zackos of the NY Botanical Garden on anything she wants (she's mentioned annuals, perennials, roof gardens and indoor plants)
d.. Kathy Jentz on weeding and maybe more
e.. Billy Goodnick and his partner have their own videos to contribute
f.. Chris, the Flatbush Gardener, on urban gardening
g.. Shirley Bovshow on something about gardening in SoCal
h.. Trey Pitsenberger of the Golden Gecko on Mediterranean gardening
i.. Kate Copsey on pruning, propagation or herbs
j.. Doug Green on cold climate gardening or whatever's on his mind
k.. Ed Bruske on kitchen gardening/cooking
l.. Rich Pomerantz on garden photography
m.. Mayo Underwood on seed collecting
n.. Monica Milla on winter sowing
o.. Don Engebretson the Renegade Gardener on whatever he wants (I'm dying to see Don in action)
p.. Tom Piergrossi in San Diego already has videos in the can
q.. And a few spokespeople for plants that I think the public should hear about

If you're interested in joining this team, let me know. Or if you've already created videos, you might contribute one or more to Monkeysee as a way to send viewers to your site, where they can hire you as a speaker, or buy your other videos.
The MonkeySee website shows 3 different classifications of "experts" but it's all very fluid right now, so I suggest ignoring the distinctions. My own experience with them was working with their videographer at no expense to myself and I think that's the approach they plan to follow with real experts with real qualifications (as opposed to hobbyists).

COACHING
Gardening coaches now have their own blog. It's www.thegardeningcoachblog.com It's a team blog with 3 writers, so far. If you do ANYTHING that could reasonably be called coaching, join us - on the blog and in the Worldwide Directory of Gardening Coaches (it's free to be listed). You'll find it here: http://www.sustainable-gardening.com/thegardeningcoach/DirectoryofGardeningCoaches.php
