FW: FW: Tree Evaluation Sites

Here is what she sent me that she is looking for. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sheri

Subject: Re: FW: [GWL] Tree Evaluation Sites

Thanks Sheri. I was hoping there might be a clearinghouse of information.
For example in Wooster, Ohio there is a small arboreatum that specializes in
crabapple trees. Without going there to see the trees myself ( which I have
done several times - it's awonderful place when the trees are in bloom!) one
could check mature size, shape, branching, color, texture, fruiting,
sprouting, and disease resistance of perhaps 50 or more varieties.

For this current project, we're looking for small trees, no taller than 20
', 15 is better, for bird habitat, cover, fruit to take the place of several
pines that died on the east side of the house, some from the drought and
some from old age. I'm checking audubon sites, too, for info.

Thanks for your help.
