hardy to zone 4.

Crapes may die back to the ground and don't give up hope - in zone 5 in our 
mountain region they still come back from the roots. Also they are the last 
thing to leaf out in spring here, some folks have given up and started ripping 
theirs out only to find they are perfectly healthy.
