Giant Passes Away

Dr. Marc Cathey died on Wednesday morning in North Carolina. In addition to serving as a research horticulturist with the USDA for nearly a quarter century, he was also a prolific author, speaker and radio personality. He was served the American Horticultural Society as president and CEO.  His work has directly affected all of us and our livelihood, because he developed of the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map and the AHS Heat Zone Map.
