Sue, Nancy and all.
Actually, I think Nancy makes some good points here, and ah yes, we as  
garden communicators and writers have such power to sell products and  
shape t public opinion and purchasing...if only. I never really  
understand agency rulings like this, they're not really law but can  
they be enforced until challenged and over ridden.
Isn't there a lot being said about the billions of dollars directed to  
the medical community, samples, meals, hospitality etc, condemnation  
from the NAS? At this point I think it is only condemnation but  
partaking is not expressly forbidden. It's all puzzling. By the time  
next years's conference rolls around perhaps the attorney who advises  
GWA can help clarify what's ok.
A few weeks ago Doug Greene set a good model when talking about his  
red gloves and openly stated who gave him his red gloves and why  
others would like them. Doesn't seem too hard, it's getting blindsided  
that's worrisome.
