Re: Christmas Gift Ideas and New Books Coming out
Hi Donna,
I'm a trade guy but also a gardener but also someone who wants to learn more
but also someone who wants to see what is new.
So my suggestion is tickets to the largest horticultural TRADE show within
easy commute distance of the recipient. For me in Trenton, On, about a 2hour
drive from downtown Toronto, passes to the Landscape Ontario Congress would
be perfect. Over 500 vendors pitching to the trades. All the big and little
nurseries are there with their plants- many of which you will never see in
your local outlet. The speakers and seminars are leading edge, especially
those dealing in technology and biology. These are not closed shows- any one
can attend. Heady stuff for a gardening geek like me.
There must be similar shows all across the continents.
There you go kiddo, my 1.5cents worth.
Dan
