Re: high tech garden devices

Data loggers are indispensable if you are using GDD's (grower degree days)
in your garden or business. You can predict the onset of disease
problems, outbreaks of insects and the germination of weeds. This allows you to
minimize the use of any pesticide (chemical or organic) by targeting
applications to exactly when they are needed. Most state extensions publish GDD
data and you can make your predictions even more precise if you have a
temperature data logger. Great gizmo for the technologically inclined gardener
and a gift for such a gardener..but also include a link on how to find GDD
information for your area.
