Re: Press day at Chelsea?

I believe press day at Chelsea is Monday. Then Tuesday and Wednesday are for members of the RHS. Thursday and Friday are for the general public. I joined the RHS one year so I could attend as a member and hopefully have fewer people to deal with. Didn't happen. Giant crowds whenever you go. Think they were going to add a Saturday to the show but don't know how that panned out. Bottom line. Get there at 8 a.m. There has always come a point--usually at noon--when I'm shuffling like an ant along the walkways and suddenly realize "This isn't fun anymore. I'm done" and leave.Carolyn Ulrich

Nan, I don't know the press date for Chelsea, but I attended the press  
day at Hampton Court several years ago and it was held
the day before the Opening day. As we were leaving attendees to the  
grand ball were arriving dolled up in their finery. The downside
