Re: Moles
Carla:
I started the original thread on moles for three reasons:
1) I have just inherited the problem.
2) It sounds like something interesting to write about. I'm planning an
article at bellaonline on this topic.
3) I was hoping one of the garden writers here might have tested some of the
many products sold to control moles. I'd love to read an article right now
by someone with an unbiased opinion.
Lon doesn't want this to get off base. As a writer, I don't want to state
something as truth as in "this product works....." without knowing someone
who has proven it or having tried it myself.
If anyone on this list is representing a company that sells mole repellents
of any type, I hereby offer my side yard as a test plot with the promise of
an article sharing my results.
I've spent several hours today searching what is already published on the
internet. These articles by so-called experts can't even agree on what the
critters eat let alone how to get rid of them. I'm told they eat everything
from earthworms to grubs to plants. Sometimes it is really hard even for a
garden writer to sort the truth from all the fiction.
