Duane: Maybe you can get PBS on the same roundup as NBC but many people
cannot, I for one. In order to get local channels--which are generally
round-up's of truck accidents on our infamous I-40 or I-26--it would cost me
an additional $6.00 a month--which as a writer I cannot afford and refuse to
pay--so we opt for cable and get a number of terrible stations with just a
few noteworthy additions--and no PBS! As to Joe-6-Pack, he is the result of
kicking education in the teeth beginning about 30 years ago when teachers
went from being professionals to being union members, and Joe was never
taught how to use his (or her) mind. Peter
