Re: Merit related to Colony Collapse Disorder??
According to a recent article in The New Yorker magazine ("Stung" - in a late July or early August issue) recent research shows that a virus is to blame for the colony collapse disorder. The article is very good, and covers the origins the rumor that Imidacloprid is responsible. The New Yorker is not available on line so check it out at your local library. The virus in question acts on the bee's immune system so that the bee has no defenses for ANY of the various bee diseases.
