Re: Is there a better way to transfer photos to Mac?
Tanya,
Have you updated any Canon software that's on your computer? Where are you downloading to - iPhoto? If so, have you updated that software recently? Do you automatically "reformat" the card every time you put it back in the camera so that you don't end up with bits of old data in the card? Have you been using the same card for a long time and if so have you tried getting a new one?
Are there a lot of other applications open when you make this transfer and have you tried restarting your computer just before you download?
Does the image of your card appear on your desktop when you plug the card reader in? If so, are you waiting for the photos to automatically download or do you click on the icon for the carmera card and then drag the photo files into the place where you store them? Sometimes this is faster than asking the computer to automatically make the transfer.
It shouldn't take so long.
all the best,
C.L.
