Re: Is there a better way to transfer photos to Mac?
You're on, Doug :-) . My Dell computer is nearly 10 years old and runs
on XP. It is easy-to-use and doesn't have a lot of useless stuff. The
Undergardener has been after me for years to upgrade, but everything he's
shown me is less intuitive rather than more. However, as you say,
technology upgrades, and cut-off of support for Explorer will force me to
go to another level. I just need another computer altogether, since I'm
nearly full up at 230 GB. Speed is also an issue.
The Undergardener bought me an iPad mini in 2012 and, while I like it's
portability, looks, weight, cameras, and ability to walk around the house
with streaming webinars on, I've discovered that I don't like ebooks and
it is useless (in my opinion) as a substitute for any computer functions.
I use it to check my email when traveling, but that is a PIA because you
have to resize everything.
I'm dreading the change, not just because of the software and OS, but
because we've had two much newer laptops die on us in the last two years.
Regards,
Lois
