Revised equipment recommendation:

Construct a long high pressure water injection implement from:

8 foot or longer piece of stiff PVC plumbing pipe (white) or PEX for
shorter lengths
garden hose connector on one end
90 degree fitting for the other end with short 1 foot length of PVC
connected to male garden hose fitting
brass high pressure jet fitting for the end of the 90 degree offset
on off valve at operator end of implement

locate nest opening
put high pressure jet in it
turn water on and let it run for several hours
check progress with flash light and binoculars
