Cornus alba Cream Cracker


For those in Cold Climates,this Cornus alba cultivar should be of interest.
A recent "Award of Merit Winner" issued by the Royal Boskoop Horticultural
Society,The Netherlands.A member of the Dogwood Family. A cross between
Cornus alba Gouchalti and Cornus alba Elegantisima.

Growth:  Broad upright deciduous bush up to 4ft.-5ft. high.
Leaves: Green with irregular cream to butter yellow edges.  The tops of the
young growth are pinkish.
Branches: The attractive colored branches are purplish-red in winter
Flowers: Creamy white in late spring.
Fruits: White, small.
Pruning: It is recommended to prune hard in March every other year, to
promote compact growth.
Hardiness: zone 3
Culture: The plant grows in most types of soil, either wet or dry and can be
planted in full sun or shady positions.
