Watch for this Very Special Vine in the next couple
of years. Recently developed by a French Breeder, Fallopia aubertii' Rose'
reduces many of the concerns home gardeners have with Silver Lace Vine. While
hardy to Zone 4,it will grow in a Zone 8 climate as well.A growth habit half the
normal length of the parent plant , ' Rose' will complement any vertical
gardening situation. ' Rose' flowers twice each season,once in mid-Spring and
again in mid-Summer. While plants are not likely to appear in the Garden Centers
until Late Summer of 2002, volumes of plants will be available for the Spring of
2003.
