I'm not sure how cold it got night before last--predicted 32, and there
was ice on my birdbath that morning. Had covered many, many of my
hostas with inverted pots and rolls of weed barrier fabric. The only
damage to ANY (including those uncovered) was from the semi-wild dogs
that come into the yard at night and romped on the fabric. Hope your
luck is as good.
