I just talked to Bob and Nancy and they said that what Carol has communicated
is true.  The 800 number people are really screwing things up -- they have
even told people the convention was canceled.

Apparently someone deleted it at the 800 number computer and then realized
they canceled the wrong one, but, unless the person on the phone looks to
another screen they don't see that it was reentered but as a "new" event!

You have to call the local number for the hotel, Monday through Friday, at
the number Carol B. has indicated.  I haven't registered yet and will do so
tomorrow.  I will report my success or failure after making my attempt
tomorrow.
