RE: cold never happened

From here in east-central IL, zone 5b, it's 32 right now, and was 32 last
night at 10 pm. I don't know what happened temperature-wise inbetween. Wind
is 19mph.

Upon brief examination, some of my hosta have little spots that are probably
victims of freeze, but the damage is almost unnoticeable. One (Golden
Prayers), in a very exposed site, has a few edges of it. The few Japanese
Painteds that were exposed look OK. I covered about half my real delicate
plants (dwarf hosta, epimedium, etc.) and assume they're perfect. :-)
However, the epimedium I left exposed look fine.

Tonight's supposed to be high twenties, but for now, life is good.
