A Daylily Question

For anyone out there who grows daylilies commercially in
containers:

We have a ton a daylilies in the ground and want to get them

out and into containers.  Is there a problem with potting
them late in the summer or into fall?  I don't like to pot
hostas after early August here, do I have to be careful with

daylilies too?
