It takes about ten weeks from the first flower to collect a whole
scape with ripe seeds. So this is actually a shorter time for an
individual flower after pollination. Plants brought indoors follow the
same rule However due to the high temp? the pods, despite the
seeds being ripe, simply stay green a long time.
