I have had the problem with a couple of my hosta for the past few years and
have not done anything to treat them. They have not died yet. In fact, I
just pulled the rotted leaves away from the plant and left it. It hasn't
seemed to have affected them so far as their coming back. They come back and
are as big or bigger than ever. However, at this time of year when we get
high humidity and high temps, the problem seems to return. I am hoping that
the bleach solution will help mine.
