Beth,

Near the top of the scape, it splits into multiple ends with many flowers.
It is usually a rare occurrence and doesn't happen again, but Ran has a
number of hostas which exhibit this trait ALL the time. A breakthrough in
hosta breeding. H. 'Oh My Heart' is probably the best example of this.

		Norm, What exactly is a crested scape?  I have seen that
term a couple of
		times but do not understand.  I understand crested in the
sense of a crested
		fern.
