How to bid and auction close notes

John and others,

I have gotten some questions on how to place bids at the HostaLibrary.org
auction site.  Here are some simple steps to take:

Go to Library Auction site  First Look Auction
or   http://63.249.238.146/cgi-bin/auction.pl        if the link doesn't work
for you.

First you have to register at the Library auction site.

If you haven't registered with a username and password you do that by going
to the First Look Auction site and at the bottom of the page click on  NEW
REGISTRATION.
**[Category List]   [Post New Item]   [New Registration]   [Change
Registration] **

You fill in any Handle/alias you want to use and fill in your Email address
and home address (this is confidential) . Then you submit that part and you
will get an Email from Bob Axmear within a minute or two with an assigned
password in the message.
This will be a random set of letters and numbers.
If you want to change it to a password that is easier for you to remember,
Jot down the random password, then go back to the auction site and at the
bottom click on CHANGE REGISTRATION.  Type in your Alias then the ASSIGNED
Password....then pick a new password that YOU CHOOSE and fill it in TWICE.
Submit that form and you are set!  If you prefer to use the random password
you can skip the CHANGE PASSWORD step and begin bidding immediately.

To bid: click on the item that you are interested in, on the page that comes
up, scroll to the bottom, and fill in your alias, your password and the
amount you want to bid.

If you have more questions...don't hesitate to give a holler!

I want to announce again:   BIDS ON ALL ITEMS CLOSE AT 10PM EST/ 9pm CST!!!
IGNORE THE CLOSE TIME THAT IS POSTED WITH EACH ITEM!!!!!!!

All bids that are time stamped later than 21:00:00 CST on the bid page will
NOT BE COUNTED.  Please be sure to place your bids BEFORE that closing time!

Thanks for your interest in the First Look auction!    And good luck!
