Agreed.

I'm doing a small move this spring, if it ever gets here....

But I plan to fully ammend and til the soil first then one day
move'em, stick'em and mulch'em.  Sounds like a party.

If at all possible, instead of potting them up and holding them until
planting, prepare planting areas first and then dig, transport and
replant.
In this manner the plants will re-establish quicker.
