Seriously, I only cut if plant is pot bound with circuling root system..I do
break up plant ball and water with miracle grow or some all purpose liquid
fertilizer.
Pay heed to Chick. He has written excellent posts on subject. I only disagree
if potted plant is all artificial medium, and especially if potbound. I do
feel feel medium should all be shaken off. Believe I lean a bit towards Ran's
thinking. I was growing in the 50's too. Am sure you are OK and your plants
will do fine in spite of this "battle"<G>. See, Ran, I can straddle too.
