Dan,
I have a friend with a nursery (also in Ohio) who has also had this
problem. A man would come and look around refusing to talk. After he left
they noticed divisions of valuable plants missing from pots. He called the
Deputy Sheriff with licence plate #, they didn't take him to serious as it
was only part of a plant!!
