Hosta 'Not Registered'
(NOT FOR SALE -NR) . . . . . . . . . . . .
.$0.00
No Sun * Zone: Twilight * not very tall*
Origin: Questionable *
This new hybrid (H. 'Jim Wilkins' x H. 'AHS Board of Directors') X
(H. 'Bad Ideas' x Open Pollinated) is one of those Hostas that should
never have been introduced. However since its underground
introduction
it has zoomed to #1 on the Hosta Police Hit List! Since it is 'Not
Registered', it can no longer be entered in the cut leaf show,
mentioned in the Hosta Journal, auctioned at a convention or legally
sold in this venue. If anyone sells it the American Hosta Society
will
drop them from their list of "preferred vendors". We all want to
encourage
hosta registration, but would opt for a less heavy handed approach.
Let your board of directors hear from you.

This is a label Tony Avent had on a hosta not for sale at
the convention. Re-printed with permission of the author.
Does this leave anyone wondering where Tony Avent stands on
the I.A.C.?
