Re: Foliar Fertilizer for Hostas ?
Barbara,
I applied it Saturday because that is when I had the time. Any spotting
washes off after the next rain or irrigation.
I applied my cocktail in a foliar feed / soil drench fashion. It other
words, fairly heavy. 600 gallons was applied to approx. 3/4 of an acre
of hostas.
I will repeat is two weeks or so. Next time I will cut the Epsom Salts
in half and add a dash of seaweed.
Back when I used to grow way too many vegetables I discovered the
benefits of foliar feeding. Hosta sure seem to enjoy foliar feeding too.
This is my third year trying it on hostas.

Dan,
How did you come up with this combo. and how heavily do you apply, not
necessarily your mix, bit foliar feedings in general?
Do you do it in the a.m. or p.m.? Why do people cringe at doing this?
Just because of spotting?
Do you wait after a rainfall, before one, or what conditions?
Out of questions!
Thanks
