Motion was made that the voting members of the AHS be only the "elected"
members of the Executive Committee and 4 others who have been deignated
vice-presidents.
I moved to amend---to include the Journal Editor as a voting member.
In my memory, this is the first time that anyone has spoken out from the
floor.
My motion defeated was 115-114(!).
Someone first moved that the motion to include only the elected members and
the four V-Ps be tabled. Jim W. said it was out of order!!!!!!!!! A motion to
table is NEVER out of order.
The AHS will now be contolled by 9(!!) members.
The AHS should get a Parlimentarian. The Board approved using Roberts Rules
of Order. This is archaic. The latest is New Revised Roberts Rules of Order.
It was the worst auction in history in respect of the entries. Why? The AHS
decided that only REGISTERED hostas could be entered.(!!!)
