Cly'cuz ..for the record! ..T'was not because "Only registered
hostas could be entered?". IN FACT...
*As I recall*? ..this was placed into moritorium until sometime in
2001, so the whole business about only registered hostas being
participants at a National Convention has been shelved; and of course,
I'm assuming? ..this includes! "the REGISTERED HOSTA LIST" as
published?
There were unregistered hostas in the AHS AUCTION, even one seedling
from Toyozo Nakayama of Japan, coded #TOYOZO-99, and from the pod-parent
known as H. 'Urajiro Giboshi' -- a product on the market in Japan; and
fetching, $400.00 for the AHS Treasury. As for?...
Why it was the worst auction in history with respect to entries!
..if it was? ..IS BECAUSE & TO WHIT:
..1) the rank & file membership attending convention --
did not participate whole-heartedly in donating "HOSTA-CUSSES"
fer auction and...
..2) the big H-business boys, known as the Growers
Association er sumpin like dat? ..put a boycott on donating same
H'cusses?
let's call a spade a spade eh
and put all the cards on the table
:-( huh?
