I thought about this for quite a bit last night. If someone like
Chick(just an example) went out and spent a few thousand on photos and
added them to his site and a few days later the photos show up on
someone else's site and he makes a sale to you Chick would not only be
out the money for the photos but he might have also lost the sale to the
competitor because of the photos.
If you took the plants home and planted them in your backyard and the
next morning they were gone you would be the first to call the police I
bet. Does it matter if something is stolen from Chick on the internet or
you in your backyard.
If everyone is free to take whatever they want on the internet you can
bet pretty soon there will be more and more people demanding internet
police, not less like you suggest.
