In the old days I have irradiated many seeds. First UV, although
working perfectly in yeast, is useless as the penetration is too low
Rontgen is better but despite many attemps all I got ( semp seed)
were abberant seedlings that never made it to adulthood .I would
suggest that the chances of getting something valuable from
irradiation are pretty low
