Like Glen, I was amazed by the prices paid at the First Look auction. I haven't seen that kind of money being thrown around lately.

I don't follow the auctions much, but my curiosity was arroused and so I went to the Hosta Library auction and e-bay to see what was going on. Nothing.

It looks like there is mostly junk on e-bay and the opening prices at the library seem pretty high to me, especially for stuff coming out of tc. Hardly any of the items even get a bid.

It's a shame. I thought the auctions might be a place for people, especially breeders, to sell some of the more unusual and rare things that collectors would like to get their hands on, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
