Hi Gary,
I've found a bunch
of these too. Most of them I haven't kept, because I didn't think anyone would
want them. Some I kept to see if they would be different, but if they weren't I
tossed them. Sometimes they are different, but in such an insignificant way that
I didn't see any reason to bother with them. They may have some scientific
interest, but I doubt anybody would be happy about shelling out their
hard-earned money for something they thought was really new and exciting. There
are really exciting new plants being found. They're the ones people want to
buy.

Hi Bill I was showing a couple of August Moon sports that I found to a friend today. I have had them for a few years and one looks like Abiqua Moonbeam and the other like September Sun. They are very nice plants, However, if I were to regester them and try to market them I would only be pulling the wool over my own eyes. I agree very much that at some point you just leave them in the garden. After all, most of them go straight to the compost pile. Gary. |
