Speaking of stunted "Great Expectations" , I think we could find the answer
to this dilemma very easily. Here is what we do.
Obtain about 20 volunteers - ten with poor GE growth rates and ten with
good GE growth rates. Every volunteer sends a soil (soil that GE is
growing in) sample to the same lab.
I bet the analysis of the soils would give us the secret to successfully
growing "Great Expectations"
