Glen, my heart goes out to you and the others who have had the bad frost. Guess this is coming out of Canada as we are due colder weather later in the week. I don't think we will freeze but will watch and see. I am sure you are broken hearted. Sandra

Things were bad here in southern Vermont last night. I will know later inthe day, but certainly over 1/2 of my hostas were frozen last night. Lotsof mushy hosta salad for lunch. Sprayed water early but have my doubts. Ialways thought thick and well-substanced leaves were a good thing. Theleaves now clank together like ice cubes.Prior to this there were a number of other heavy frosts which were a greatbarometer in determining what hostas had any plantaginea species inthem. They all went first. In the immortal words of Yosarian in Catch 22: " So it goes."Maybe next year."Ding an sich."...is it really there?Glen Williams20 Dewey St.Springfield , Vermont05156Tel: 802-885-2839---------------------------------------------------------------------To sign-off this list, send email to m*@hort.net with the
