That did not come from the internet. This was released by Dept. of Energy
Secretary Bill Richardson and published in the Federal Register and there is
a 60 day comment period that will expire in December. It suggests that a
practical step citizens can take is to demand that Congress, if still in
session, append an amendment to any piece of must-go legislation to order
DOE to extend the public comment time until those of us who actually use
washing machines have time to register our objections. It suggested calling
our member of Congress. I will see if I can get any number on this possible
legislation to at least validate myself.

Again, for one the washer thing does not bother me. First it was the
toilet, now the washer, what's next? They are whittling away. Wake up!
