The answer to this is to look at history:
Eisenhower had his "secretary"
JFK boffed anything with skirts--in or out of the white house (Maybe thats
why he had a bad back!)
Johnson had "friends" all over.
etc. etc.
The difference is that in times past the media was respectful of privacy.
Now anything goes--just to get a story and beat the competition. Don't even
have to have the facts right--just print something.
