Planting Hosta Seeds Outdoors

Hi All,
I harvested some seeds from some streaked hostas('William Lachman, et al.)
and planned to plant them in the under lights mode indoors but I am too lazy and
have tried doing that before with no luck;so, I'd like to plant these in a
bed where I grew Vegetables and cutting flowers this season.
Anyone have any advice, such as depth, fertilising, mulching, watering, etc.
?
Would very much appreciate any tips.
