Have you tried Sandra Bond? She may well have copies.  Goldbrook Plants,

It is a happy book for a gardener rather than a specialist collector.  Most
of the 30-or-so pictures are hostas with other plants.

For the hosta collector a better and more recent book is The Gardener's
Guide to Growing Hostas--Diana Grenfell (again) which is ref. ISBN:0 7153

Lots of pictures, more plant descriptions, a bit more recent.
